Ricky Carmichael Leads at Motocross des Nations (2000)

Ricky Carmichael (No. 11) shoots to the front of the pack during the 2000 edition of Motocross des Nations in Saint-Jean-d’Angély, France. RC won his first moto and finished 2nd in his second moto to lead Team USA to victory along with teammates Ryan Hughes and Travis Pastrana. Hughes also contributed mightly by winning his first moto and taking 5th in his second race. Pastrana went 10-15. Italy finished second and Belgium third. The victory ended a three-year winning drought for Team USA in des Nations. (Mitch Friedman photo)
