Cal Rayborn III on the Honda 500 Inteceptor in photos’s 38, 39, and 40. Bike tuned by Tom Houseworth and “team” managed by Eric Gietl, Udo’s son. Wonder where the bike came from? Cal was fast right off the bat, great rider. A lot going on at Willow Springs those days with serious manufacturer contingency. There are good stories behind each personality featured here.
Just came across this site by accident. 1986, the year that I started racing at Sears Pt. A lot of the above pictures are of racers who made big names for themselves in club and pro racing. Good memories. Met Kenny Augustine (Kinetic Analysis), my tuner, thru the track. He became a legend
