Hi Larry hope all is well! pic # 127 is Bob Reinen
Hey Billy! Good to know you’re still checking out the site. Man you gave Polen hell on the Interceptors at Willow that year. I was lucky to get to see it. Thanks for the tip on Reinen.
WOW what a walk down memory lane Curtis Adams called me to look at this page. Sorry Billy I think Bob’s number was 55
Glad you found the site. I think Billy was talking about the image number, not bike number.
Cal Rayborn III on the Honda 500 Inteceptor in photos’s 38, 39, and 40. Bike tuned by Tom Houseworth and “team” managed by Eric Gietl, Udo’s son. Wonder where the bike came from? Cal was fast right off the bat, great rider. A lot going on at Willow Springs those days with serious manufacturer contingency. There are good stories behind each personality featured here.
Just came across this site by accident. 1986, the year that I started racing at Sears Pt. A lot of the above pictures are of racers who made big names for themselves in club and pro racing. Good memories. Met Kenny Augustine (Kinetic Analysis), my tuner, thru the track. He became a legend
