Gary Trachy (No. 357) leads the way on his Honda CRF450R in a battle inside the top 10 at the Reno AMA Supermoto Finale in October of 2005. Trachy leads AMA Superbike racer Aaron Yates (No. 20 Suzuki RM-Z450), Massimillano Gazzarata (No. 210 Honda CRF450R) and David Pingree (No. 223 Yamaha YZ450F) on the downtown street of Reno, Nevada. The 2005 AMA Red Bull Supermoto A-Go-Go will go down as the best attended AMA Supermoto race in history. An estimated 40,000 fans lined the streets of Reno to watch the event. Subsidized by Red Bull, the even was free to watch with special passes available if fans wanted to get into the pit area. It was an amazing even and marked the zenith of the AMA Supermoto Championship.
Mark Burkhart was doing things on those bikes no one could believe.
Practiced with him at the local kart track and will tell you I have never been passed by anyone like I was standing still. He was
in a class of his own on those bikes. Something to see.
