A Talented International Trio Battle at Daytona (1993)

New Zealand’s Aaron Slight (No. 62) races his Muzzy Kawasaki ahead of Scot Brian Morrison (No. 109) and Canadian Miguel Duhamel, on another Muzzy Kawasaki, in the 1993 Daytona 200. Slight and Duhamel were battling for the final podium spot behind leaders Eddie Lawson and Scott Russell. Duhamel eventually took the third-place spot over Slight. Morrison, who qualified well with a fifth in one of the Arai Twin 50s, had some problems in the 200 and ended up 33rd. (Henny Ray Abrams photo)

  1. I participated in the 2 hour endurance race the day before the 200 that year. What an incredible learning experience it was for me. Scott Russell, who used the endurance race for a warmup for the 200, passed me so fast that he almost blew my helmet off.
