Bill Simpson (No. 15) and Sadao Asami (No. 16) at the start of their runs at the 1978 Isle of Man. Not only is this a great photo showing two great TT riders at perhaps the most iconic motorcycle race in the world, it’s also significant in that legendary Trials photographer Eric Kitchen was the photographer. Kitchen is maybe the best-known Trials photographer in the business. A Trials competitor himself, Kitchen started shooting races as early as the 1950s and was still doing it well into his 80s.
