Unusual photo angle of Laguna Seca’s Corkscrew shot during the AMA Road Race National in 1986. This Farren Williams photo really shows the steepness of the Corkscrew drop off. In the shot is Eddie Lawson being chased by Mike Baldwin. Baldwin won the two-heat national on his Team Kool/Roberts Yamaha with a 2-1 result. Lawson crashed while leading in the first leg after being ran wide by a rider he was lapping. (Farren Williams photo)
I always loved this tricky set of corners, From getting to the top of the hill down to the last corner to the front straight. Old Laguna was the best, but I could get through the new go cart section okay after it was added. Laguna Seca, a magic track for me. I raced there many times and I never crashed.
