Gleason’s Best 750 Supersport Race

Craig Gleason was one of the top CRRC club racers from Texas. He made some occasional forays into AMA Pro Racing with good results. Gleason got serious and chased the AMA 750cc Supersport Championship in 1990. Along the way he scored four top-10 finishes en route to finishing sixth in the final standings. The best result for Gleason that season came at Heartland Park Topeka. He took fifth that day on his Suzuki GSXR750. This photo is of Gleason at Topeka in 1991, possibly in the Superbike race.

  1. It was pointed out by an eagle-eyed reader that this is a ’91 model GSXR. So this is in fact Craig at Topeka in 1991. Probably in the Superbike race.
