Solid Performance KTM/ Eye Ball Moto Racing Team to Compete in SMEC

(NEWS RELEASE)

Johnny Lewis to Race SMEC & Host Supermoto Training Schools in 2014

Downingtown, PA (Jan 13th, 2014)- AMA Pro Flat Track Racer Johnny Lewis announces that he will compete in selective Supermoto East Coast “SMEC” events in 2014. Recently announcing his partnership with Project K Racing for the AMA Pro Flat Track Twins championship aboard the KTM USA/GE Capital 990, Lewis will fill in “off” weekends with supermoto racing and host multiple “10 Supermoto Training” schools in conjunction with SMEC this season.

The former Factory Red Bull KTM Supermoto racer, with 8 career podiums including 1 career AMA Pro Supermoto Unlimited race win, still enjoys jumping on a 450 KTM SMR any chance he gets. “Last season I was able to join SMEC at their opening round. I hosted a 15-rider school on Saturday and then competed in & won the Pro Class on Sunday. SMEC put together an amazing series last season from Florida to New York for both pro and amateur riders. They have brought supermoto back to the east coast.”, said Lewis.

Lewis is set to return to SMEC this season at their opening round at Virgina International Raceway (VIR) in Alton, VA on April 13th with an all new supermoto race team. Solid Performance KTM & Eyeball Moto will join forces to bring Johnny Lewis the equipment needed to not only compete at selective SMEC rounds, but also host multiple 10 Supermoto Training schools. Lewis will compete on a race-ready KTM 450 SMR prepared by Solid Performance KTM and marketed by Eyeball Moto – a division of the design and advertising studio Eyeball NYC.

Lewis’ first 10 Supermoto Training school will take place on Saturday April 12th, the day before the opening round, at the well-known racing facility Virginia International Raceway “VIR”. With the support of SMEC, VIR, and Lewis’ team, the school will bring other supermoto riders of all skill levels the opportunity to learn from a past AMA Pro Supermoto race winner to develop their own supermoto skills.
