Unlucky Strike for Alex Barros (1994)

A not so Lucky Strike for Alex Barros at the 1994 British Grand Prix. Alex lost the front end on his Lucky Strike Suzuki entering Donington Park’s slow-speed Goddards Hairpin while running a very solid fourth. Alex was already injured coming into the race suffering a rib injury at the French GP the weekend before and then tumbling in Friday practice at Donington and tweaking his foot. Fortunately, he was not further hurt in this fall. In the background of the photo, you can see Alex’s Suzuki teammate Kevin Schwantz, who went on to win the GP that day. (Henny Ray Abrams photo)
